Space Invaders Becomes Real (Comfy) Furniture
Fend off alien invasions from the comfort of this geeky couch, designed to look care an alien from Space Invaders
When it comes to videogames, it's hard to bump a more iconic title than Space Invaders. As a lead, the aliens from from the game are incredibly touristy and a bungalow industry has managed to arise around the character design. Spell custom T-shirts and magnets much feature the character reference, no one's time-tested to create a themed article of furniture … until now. Designer Igor Chak has created the "Space Invader Couch", which is a dead ringer for unity of the invading aliens and looks big sufficient for two people to sit connected well.
Chak's design is certainly entertaining, and it sounds absurdly comfortable. The couch is meant to be smothered in angry leather and stuffed with memory board foam. Accordingly, Chak intends for the couch to include "two glass surfaces," presumably on top of the arms (settled on the slight reflections shown in the construct artwork).
While the concept has been designed, it'll be a while before information technology actually becomes easy to buy up. Chak has stated that he's looking for a company to help him produce the furniture firearm en masse. When it does hit the commercialize, you can almost be secure that it won't be cheap, supported the retentivity foam and leather. That said, I'd certainly exist proud to ain something like this as part of my gaming apparatus.
